#TheNecessityOfWatchfulness #TheFaithfulOrUnfaithfulSlave #ReadinessForTheLord #PrayerLife #PrayerTime TOPIC: ARE YOU PREPARED AND READY? First Reading: 1 Thessalonians 3:7-13 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 90:3-5A, 12-13, 14 AND 17 Alleluia: Matthew 24:42A, 44 Gospel: Matthew 24:42-51 In today’s gospel reading, the book of Matthew includes two of seven parables about the final coming of Jesus. It dwells on our readiness to meet Jesus. In the first parable, we should be alert just like the owner of a house who stays awake all night lest a robber comes to take away his belongings. In the second parable, we are likened to a servant whose master goes away for a trip. When he returns, he rewards the diligent and responsible servant and punishes the wicked and abusive servant. We reflect today on our preparedness to someday meet the Lord. We never know when that time will come. This is the 506th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
