Biden-Xi virtual summit set for Monday evening ET amid rising China tensions
President Joe Biden's highly anticipated virtual summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping will take place on Monday evening ET, the White House announced Friday. Ahead of the meeting, CNN's Kristie Lu Stout talks to Wendy Cutler, vice president of the Asia Society Policy Institute and a former acting deputy U.S. Trade Representative. After Xi's Mao moment at the 6th Plenum and Biden's $1 trillion infrastructure win, both leaders enter the upcoming summit from a position of strength. But, according to Cutler, don't expect any breakthroughs.
