Immediate Action Rapid Deployment - Entry

This training day focused on why we need to prepare for high risk, low frequency incidents. At any time, we could be responding to the report of an Active Shooter or Barricaded Person. It's paramount that officers are trained in team movement through hallways, stair cases and room entries in an effort to resolve these incidents as safely as possible for all involved. Live fire scenarios using training munitions test our member's response to these high stress situations. In this short clip, officers are entering an active shooter scenario with multiple victims down. We would like to thank the student volunteers from St. Clair College who were actors during our scenarios, our CKPS Auxiliary Unit and the Capitol Theatre for their continued support.
