This was a printers title labelling error, the deadwax matrixes are correct. "Hail I" was the intended a-side, as it was released in Jamaica on Derrick Harriott Crystal imprint. A rare double helping of narcotic instrumentals, both with the power to creep right under your skin. Written, arranged and produced by top Jamaican producer of the early 70's; Derrick Harriott injects distilled atmospheric rhythms into "Hail I", capturing the narcotic "Far Eastern" vibe so often brilliantly displayed in Jamaican recordings. Heavy oscillating Melodica dominates the groove, along with keyboard swirls, pelted with pattering bongo pulses and a heavier percussion. Resulting in mesmeric dance invitations to dance, a top quality Harriott creation. Flip it over another Bongo saturated instrumentation, swirling keyboard, simplistic piano meld into rich backdrop before a male vocal group ratchet up in the session to another level. Again giving up persuasive dance vibes. Two really fabulous tunes on one disc, you can hear why this elusive 45 is so very wanted.
