Let's Play Mount and Blade Warband - Spunty's Tale 17: Honorable Combat

Honor is a stat that is tracked in your character notes and has a subtle but tangible impact on how people perceive you. Honorable acts include letting go lords you capture in combat, refusing rewards when you help villagers and anything you would think is morally right even if it isn't the best to help you financially. Dishonorable acts are the attack of innocents, raiding villages and generally being downright scheming and nasty. Every NPC lord and king has different opinions on honor - some like a noble and just person and will actually enjoy fighting you, knowing you'll release them and be a good sport. Some prefer to incarcerated and will only enjoy the company of scoundrels. It's clear when you talk to them what they think of honor and it's your call to act to please them or how you think your character would act. Spunty is not honorable; he's a bandit, naturally. We haven't seen it yet, but our bets on claiming that castle all hedge on being a goit.
