A CALL TO ENGAGE GOD IN HEARTFELT PRAYER;MAKE JESUS FAMOUS PRAYER HOUR | PASTOR BEN OCHOLA

A CALL TO ENGAGE GOD IN HEARTFELT PRAYER Tuesday 17th June 2025 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. All the promises of God have already been fulfilled in Christ, but the manifestation is what we are looking for. One of the ways we walk into this is through engaging God on the platform of heartfelt prayer and seeking. In this life, things don't just happen, especially when God is introducing a new season. Unless you engage God in heartfelt prayer, whatever He has promised will remain on paper: you will sing and dance about it, but you won't walk into it. Prayer is a response to what God has promised; we are not initiating a new thing but reminding Him of what He has already done for us. Throughout the Scriptures and the church in the book of Acts, we see different people who engaged God in heartfelt prayer when they realised their season had come, and He came through for them. (Daniel 9:1-3, Exodus 2:23-25) James 5:16-17 16... The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. If your prayer is to carry weight in heaven, it must be fervent, continuous and must flow from the heart. If your heart is not present in the prayer, then that's not prayer.  Some of us are praying but absent from the 'words' of our prayers. God must see you in your prayers: there should be no difference between the words that go forth from your lips and your physical self. Joshua 24:15...But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." There must come a time when it's only you and God. There are certain things you will not see manifest if you do not engage God in heartfelt prayer. No pastor, prophet, Apostle or man of God will be able to initiate it in your life; it is something you and God alone can do. One thing satan will do, if he does not tempt you to indulge in sinful habits, is to bring distraction. In times and seasons like these, be very focused and don't allow yourself to be distracted. The best thing you can do is to sustain a prayerful atmosphere in your spirit. (Colossians 4:2) The Lord is so near to us. My prayer is that the Lord will help each one of us to align ourselves so that we will be able to receive what He has for us in this season, so that we may bring this generation to the cross.
