Marjorie Taylor Greene Insults Entire Female Population To Trash Social Safety Net Programs

During a campaign event this past weekend, Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that women needed to get married in order to get off of welfare programs. Not only is that not accurate, but that is an insult to every single woman in this country by implying that they can only make a better life for themselves if a man is there to take of them. And it is exceptionally ironic coming from a woman who is the breadwinner in her family. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this. Link - https://www.rawstory.com/marjorie-tay... So this past weekend, Marjorie Taylor Greene in Rome, Georgia decided to hold a little Q and A with voters, you know, get back in touch with the people in her state and it, uh, it was weird, man. It's like the nicest thing I can say about it. One of the voters of course stood up, asked Marjorie Taylor Greene, like, hey, what are you gonna do about all this welfare fraud out there? I'm assuming that person was a transplant from New York maybe, given that accent I used. But anyway, this idiot stands up and like all this welfare fraud, which by the way, doesn't exist. So Marjorie Taylor Greene decides I'm gonna use this as an opportunity to go after welfare and here's what she had to say. They're moving further into those programs of socialism. They wanna pay for childcare. They wanna have a living wage. And these are things that are never going to solve problems actually, no one will have any reason to go to work. Now I'm gonna continue reading her quote in just a minute, but you, she literally says they want a living wage. That's not gonna solve any problems. Do, do, do you know, do you know what the phrase living wage means? It, it means they go to work and they earn enough money to survive. But Marjorie Taylor Greene in that comment I just read from this past weekend thinks that paying people a living wage isn't gonna solve any of their problems. Sure. I think everybody always needs to be reminded because people forget because she is so trashy, Marjorie Taylor Greene is a millionaire. She's a millionaire. So yes, it would make sense that she wouldn't understand why people making a living wage would see their livelihoods improve. And honestly, that's not even the stupid part, stupidest part, I guess, of what she had to say. It gets so much worse. Here it is. I am opposed to all that. Yes, welfare does have a purpose and a place and there are times that the people have really hard times in life and definitely need it. But we need to have a program in place where they get moved off generational welfare. Why does a woman need to be married if she can be married to the government and keep getting a government check? Is, is that why you think women in the United States get married? Based on what I just read, which are the words that came outta your mouth this past weekend in Rome, Georgia, the reason women get married is so they don't have to be on welfare here in the United States. I gotta tell you on behalf of every person married to a woman in this country, uh, that's a big blow to the ego. You know, here I am thinking it was all about love. Maybe my rugged good looks. But nope. Nope. It's just so my wife's not on welfare, which being a teacher in the state of Florida basically would ensure that if she were single, she would be on welfare, welfare because you Republicans pay her like. But that honestly is insulting to every single woman in this country. Like the only reason you're not welfare is because you're married to a man. The only thing you can, the only way you can make something of yourself is if you're married to a man. And I, I especially ironic here considering the fact that Marjorie Taylor Greene is actually the breadwinner in that family. Those millions I mentioned, that money that they have, the business they run came from her parents, right? The dude married into that. So what does that say about him, Marjorie? It's clear to see who wears the pants.
