Johannes Mehserle found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Oscar Grant shooting

http://www.streetgangs.com/features/0... On Thursday, after 6 and a half hours of deliberations, the jury in the Johannes Mehserle murder trial came to a verdict. At 2:10 p.m. they concluded deliberations, and the verdict was read in court shortly after 4:00 p.m. in Judge Robert Perry's court. The verdict was guilty for involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Oscar Grant. The jury also found that the gun allegation was true which enhances the sentence. Mehserle is scheduled back in court on August 6, 2010 where he is expected to receive a sentence of 5 to 14 years in a California prison.
