Ken Loomer Big Band-More Soul-Oliver Nelson arr. for Buddy Rich

This is wonderful blues chart that the great Oliver Nelson wrote for the Buddy Rich Big Band. I like to find rare charts that no other Big Band is playing now and bring them back to life. One of the great jazz musicians and educator,Miss Valerie Gillespie takes the first solo on soprano sax. Next we have Mark Gould on tenor sax, followed by Dick Hamilton on trombone. The great Tom Parmerter on trumpet takes the last solo.This was form a concert I did at the Blue Rooster in Sarasota Florida on February 11,2014.
