This is a great blues chart composed and arranged by the great Oliver Nelson for the Buddy Rich Big Band. I like to find these rare charts that no other Big Band is playing and bringing them back to life. This is from the first album Buddy Rich recorded with his Swinging New Big Band back in 1966. I use this chart to feature some of my outstanding soloist in my Big Band. First on alto sax is Rodney Rojas,followed by Greg Lecewicz on trombone. Next we have Tony Benade on tenor sax and Tom Parmerter on trumpet. A great chart by Oliver Nelson who was one of the best arrangers for BIg Band music.
