11/23/65 An Andrew Lewis High School senior is named Miss Roanoke Valley Junior Miss

6408 (ROLL FILM) A senior at Andrew Lewis High School in Salem has been named Roanoke Valleys (TAKE FILM) Junior Miss. Francis Elizabeth "Frankie" Mitchell was the winner of the competition, selected over 19 other Valley high school seniors--at the American Theatre. The contest is an official prelininary to Virginias Junior Miss Pageant. Miss Mitchell will represent the valley in the state competition early next year in Roanoke. The winner presented an original poem as her dramatic presentation.
