GOODMORNING SPARTANS! Welcome to Day 4, are you ready for more? (Yes cheesy jokes will be posted unfortuntely). Another day another workout, here is what today has in store for us! May 5, 2014 (Day 4)------------------------------------------------------------------- 30 Air Squats & 4 BURPEE(S) (+) optional: 5 squat jumps *The Squat Jumps in today's video are demonstrated at the end. Here are some tips (PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH BEFORE ATTEMPTING): 1) Start standing, feet shoulder width apart 2) Squat down, get a good squat position butt parallel (90 degree angle bend in knees) to the ground or lower keep your back straight, do not hunch over 3) Use you arms to help you explode up and jump! NOW THERE ARE TWO WAYS YOU CAN DO THIS ONCE AIRBORNE: 4A) You can do a vertical jump, not bring your knees to your chest mid-air 4B) You can do a vertical jump but then bring your knees to your chest I recommend that if you have not tried these before to just do the vertical jump for safety. The last note: 5) When you land, you do NOT want to lock out your knees, you will land but then IMMEDIATELY get back down to a squat postion. *This will cushion the impact when you land and will make it easier to do continous reps. AGAIN, only 5 of these today if you want, THESE ARE OPTIONAL. But, I know y'all like a challenge (; get it Spartans! AROO!
