Wow, was Bonnie channeling Aretha Franklin's National Anthem? Anyone heard her perform it so languorously slow before? "Angel from Montgomery" is a song by the great John Prine; it appeared on his debut album (1971). Bonnie Raitt recorded it on her fourth album Streetlights (1974). This was the third of a 5-song set by Bonnie at: Stand in Solidarity with Standing Rock, Sunday 27 November 2016, a concert benefiting Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and in support of numerous water protectors opposed to current plans for the Dakota Access Pipeline.
