Final Fantasy VII: New Threat, the absolutely incredible mod to an already incredible game developed by Sega Chief is back with version 1.5. And I'm back to play it! This playthrough will be a little different than 1.4 however, because returning from the older versions of the mod is "Arrange Type" or "Arranged Mode" as I call it. Arranged Mode changes the default mod pretty substantially with new and tougher enemies, smarter AI, brand new attacks, and a bunch of other changes. It's like a mod within a mod! Come along as I play through this fantastic mod in it's final version most likely. 1.5 Arranged Mode! Download links and more information is here: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?top... As I did in my 1.4 playthrough, I will give you pointers, weaknesses, status effects if I find them, and possible strategies to beat all bosses within the mod. They may change from Arranged to Normal modes, and updates may also change some things around, but the general information I give should be useful regardless. Next up is the Brass Dragon, and... yeah, I'm not going to pretend to understand what is going on in this fight. Why Scorp shows up and helps you fight this thing, I do not know, but you have to take advantage of it to win. Before Scorp shows up Brass Dragon will try to take you out, so just play defense and do a little damage if you have the time. Although to be honest, that damage may not carry over to phase 2 and be lost to the ethers, I'm not sure. He's weak to Bolt so Ramuh does well. Just be safe about it. Basically, you're just waiting until he uses "Alloy Blast", which will take everyone down to 1 health. After that, Scorp shows up and the real fight begins, though you are by and large just passengers of it. X-ATM Scorpion will be doing the fighting for you, you only have two objectives now. Keep yourself and Scorp alive, and DO NOT ATTACK. The reason you don't attack is Brass Dragon will counter your attacks with a healing move that heals over 4000 health and gives him Haste. You can't overpower that at this point in the game so don't bother trying. Brass Dragon will not counter Scorp though so let him do the damage. The biggest problem of the fight though is the Slow-Numb bite of Brass Dragon. Scorp can be effected by Slow-Numb and you cannot allow that to happen. If Scorp goes down or is Petrified it's game over, because Brass Dragon's next move will deal max damage to everyone. So basically because of all that the best solution to this fight is to simply support, heal, and wait. Keep one person on throwing Soft duties and make sure that character always goes ASAP, especially on Active ATB. Will all of that being said, this fight isn't hard, learning the gimmick then doing it is pretty simple. Once again, thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy!
