‘The United States has no closer or more reliable ally than Australia’, the US president Joe Biden said during a press event with Australian prime minister Scott Morrison. The two leaders met on the sidelines of the United Nations general assembly in New York a week after it was announced Washington would provide Canberra with advanced technology for nuclear-powered submarines as part of trilateral deal with the UK.
