‘It’s a relief’ Biden is backing in Australia during meeting with Macron

The Spectator Australia columnist Caroline Di Russo says “it’s a relief more than anything” to know US President Joe Biden is backing in Australia during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The Australian Financial Review is reporting President Biden is set to back in Australia’s involvement in the AUKUS alliance when he holds a meeting with the French leader. This comes following France's decision to withdraw its ambassadors from Australia and the US after the Morrison government tore up the $90 billion French submarine deal following the AUKUS agreement.
