Turkey says U.S. begins to withdraw from northern Syria

Turkish President Erdogan said on Monday that U.S. troops have started withdrawing from northern Syria. His statement came hours after he held a phone conversation with U.S. president Trump on Sunday. Turkey on Tuesday announced its readiness to launch a military campaign to establish a safe zone in this area.
