Trump tells Pentagon to begin withdrawing remaining troops from northern Syria

This is according to U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Sunday. Esper said the "deliberate withdrawal" only applies to northern part of Syria, but he wouldn't elaborate on how long the troops will be out of the region. The decision is likely to provoke criticism that the additional withdrawal betrays the Kurds and could possibly lead to a resurgence of ISIS.
