In Ukraine, one Church leader is thanking a Catholic group for its prompt and generous help. The Bishop of Odessa, Ukraine says Aid to the Church in Need has committed around $1 million of emergency aid. The money is going to support nearly 5,000 priests and religious brothers and more than 1,300 religious sisters. Odessa mostly has been spared from fighting but the strategic city on the Black Sea is preparing for violence. Director of Projects at Aid to the Church in Need International, Regina Lynch, joins to tell us more about the support they are providing for the faithful and others in Ukraine. The Catholic Bishop of Odessa publicly thanked the organization with a video message. Although that area has not seen a lot of fighting, Lynch shares how the organization is helping regions that may not have seen much violence yet. She gives us an update on the Catholic Church in Ukraine and whether they are able to celebrate Mass or hold other services.
