On August 16-17, 2022 I rode Sections 1 and 2 of the Wyoming BDR (Backcountry Discovery Route) in reverse, starting in Elk Mountain and ending in Baggs. It was an impromptu, largely unplanned trip on worn out tires, LOL! I left Fort Collins on Tuesday morning at 7:30AM and I was back home by Wednesday evening at 5:00PM. The weather was great, and it was a lot of fun. Can't wait to get back up there on new tires to ride the whole BDR and the Red Desert BDR-X too! I love that kind of country and the fast, flowy tracks. For those of you planning a ride (and for my own memories), here are some chapter markers with locations to help you get oriented and get a sense of local conditions (remember I was riding it backwards).
