Robbinsville Soldier Killed in Action

A community comes together to mourn the loss of a soldier with roots in the mountains. 25 year old Todd Lambka grew up in Robbinsville. He was killed by and IED in Afghanistan Wednesday.  Family and friends are shocked and saddened.  Flags were lowered to half staff at Robbinsville High School where Lambka attended for three years before moving to Michigan with his father. The principal says he was a stand out student and athlete, playing for both the football and wrestling teams.  He says Lambka had a great sense of humor...but was serious too...about serving his country. He graduated with honors from West Point and was an Army Ranger with the rank of First Lieutenant.   That comes as no surprise is his former wrestling coach, Todd Odom who says Lambka was a natural leader. Lambka's twin brother, Jordan, was also serving in Afghanistan when his brother died. He's returning home, and their father will receive Todd's body in Delaware.  No word yet on funeral arrangements.   By Rex Hodge _______________ Follow WLOS on social media: WLOS ABC 13 News on Facebook:   / news13   WLOS ABC 13 News on Twitter:   / wlos_13   WLOS ABC 13 News on Instagram:   / wlos_13   Subscribe to WLOS on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/ABC13Cha...
