The Vekoma SLC is a common model of inverted roller coaster from Dutch manufacturer Vekoma. The first SLC opened in 1994 at Wallibi Holland and goes by the name Condor. An many who watch this video may know, that ride is featured in the the "Real Parks" scenario Six Flags Holland. Inverted roller coasters became very popular for parks to build in the late 90's and early 2000's with the introduction of the Batman: The Ride from swiss manufacturer B&M, and Vekoma sought to capitalize with their own easily cloned inverted model. Some SLC's do have a slightly extended layout and a few later SLC's had unique layouts. HangMan is an example of a 689m Standard SLC. The ride opened at Leafy Lake in 2009, and was the park's first major thrilling roller coaster. Before the ride was assembled, the local authority mandated that any ride over 50 ft. at Leafy Lake be painted to match the surrounding forest, so the ride was painted with forest green track and brown supports.
