PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This is a time-lapsed version, you can watch the full-length version here:    • Learn How to Draw and Paint "NEW YEAR'S GN...   Looking for an easy painting idea? Want to do a fun Holiday DIY project? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a gnome holding a sparkler and a pocket watch with fireworks going off behind him in this New Year’s inspired whimsical painting “NEW YEAR’S GNOME”. Gary the Gray Bearded Gnome is having a great time this New Year’s Eve. He bought a new tuxedo, top hat, watch and sparkler, just for the occasion. He soaked his feet in Epsom salt, took an extra long shower and scrubbed all crevasses clean, clipped his toenails, trimmed his beard, plucked out this nose hairs, brushed his teeth twice, scraped his tongue, shaved his chest, and put on his best cologne and was ready to party to the max. After a few tall glasses of his favorite brew, Gary found himself as the center of attention, the life of the party, as he wiggled his butt, waved his arms and kicked his legs all over the dance floor. As the clock inched closer to midnight he grabbed his stopwatch, lit his sparkler, took a swig of champagne, and was ready to welcome in the New Year. Fireworks explode off in the distance as everyone sang, cheered and laughed! This was a night that Gary will never forget, and he hopes that you will help him capture it in eternity and paint this image of him having the time of his life. The painting process is so simple to follow. You’ll first learn how to paint a background and atmospheric dimension using fun colors to capture the essence of a celebration bash. Then you’ll learn how to paint fireworks using a one brushstroke technique. Then, after learning how to draw a gnome using a dot-to-dot drawing method, you’ll apply a simple basecoat to work off of. You will then create realistic looking dimension with properly placed highlights and shadows, followed by layering colors to give your fantasy friend form in his head, arms and body. You will learn how to paint details on his hat, clothing, mitten style hands, nose, watch, beard and sparkler wand, giving everything on the canvas form and a realistic 3-D lively effect like a photograph. You'll jump for joy when you see how easy it is to make your goofy magical goblin come alive with just a few colors, strokes, and outlines. You can personalize the type of hat or clothing he's wearing or have him holding a glass of champagne or cigar. You could even change the background and add an iconic symbol of New Years, such as, Time Square and an apple ball dropping, the Eiffel Tower, or the Pyramids of Giza. The painting process is so simple you’ll feel like it is a paint by numbers. Using only 3 brushes and 5 colors, you’ll paint like a professional! Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy. It's an easy art project. I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping! IMAGE LINK FOR PRINTING: https://static1.squarespace.com/stati...
