Body wrapped in Palestinian flag being carried STORYLINE: Dozens of bodies from the fierce fighting in and around the Kasbah in Nablus are being kept in large refrigerated lorries which have been commandeered as makeshift morgues. The lorries, which belong to Saafa, the local milk manufacturer, are parked outside the hospital awaiting a lull in the fighting that would allow burials to start taking place. The bodies were wrapped in black polythene bags. Meanwhile sporadic fighting continued in the West Bank city with gunbattles erupting between Palestinian gunmen and Israeli forces backed by heavy armour and APCs. A number of arrests were made with soldiers stopping and arresting people in the street. Other residents surveyed the damage left by the almost two-week long offensive with many houses reduced to piles of rubble and countless families made homeless. In Ramallah, relatives and family friends attended the grief stricken funeral of twenty year old Osama Salhi from the al Amari refugee camp in Ramallah on Thursday. Family members say Osama was shot on Wednesday while walking with his wife. His body was wrapped in the Palestinian flag as it was carried shoulder high by emotional relatives.
