ELDEN RING enjoyer tries DARKS SOULS II (Playthrough Part.7)
Man, I honestly felt like all odds were stacked up against me in this episode. Starting with the unbearable poison and continuing on with the targeting bugs almost everything that could go wrong went wrong. You would think that by having a weapon of absolute devastation in your grasp would render all opposition powerless against you. Well guess what, not 'round here partner, not 'round here. In Harvest Valley they have such dark magics that they even make your character act amiss. Forlorn invader, where did that guy wander off to? Is this gonna be the same situation as with The Pursuer? I remember one of the invaders already having that descriptive name - Forlorn. Since we are meeting Lucatiel of Mirrah at places just before bosses, it seems like she really is hunting down those large souls to renew her human self. Also feels like we will soon be on a quest to reunite Creighton with her, since I think he is the lost brother she spoke about. Hopefully we can reunite them before Lucatiel turns hollow. Covetous Demon aka. Jabba the Hutt had no business being classified as a boss. Unfortunately for me, those little headless marionette enemies who applied 2 status effects with their flurry attacks combined with my drunken sword strikes just created a perfect mental melting pot situation. So once I got to the area boss of Earthen Peak there was no composure left in me. Oh boy, did that come back to haunt me when I faced Mytha, the Baneful Queen against whom a calm, collected mid was exactly what I lacked at the time. I believe that I definitely could have beaten her in that attempt when I used Elizabeth's Shroom. I just needed to back away more for the heal. But to be completely fair with you, Harvest Valley are is pure evil and designed to infuriate you. I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy to have the same experience that I had fighting Mytha, the Baneful Queen and all of her followers. I am seriously surprised that there seems to be no way how to drain the poison from the area and boss room. At least I am all out of ideas. The only saving grace for me in this episode was meeting Laddersmith Gilligan who hopefully will help us get down into the Gaping Pit of Majula.
