It's essential that governments invest in their childhood and adolescence. Latin American knows this, and the proof is that in the last decade social spending has remained stable in the region despite the context of international financial crisis, thereby contributing to faster reductions in poverty, malnutrition, out of school children and infant mortality. It is expected that the International Seminar "Investment in children in Latin America and the Caribbean" held in May 2015 in Quito, Ecuador; contribute to a consensus between companies, governments, academia and international organizations about the importance and necessity of advocating a sufficient, adequate, equitable, efficient and effective investment in children and adolescents in Latin America.
