Assistant Treasurer slams Albanese for 'flailing around' in the wake of the budget

Assistant Treasurer Michael Sukkar says the leader of the opposition and the shadow treasurer have been “flailing around” in the wake of the budget reveal. Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese came out on Wednesday attacking the Morrison government for the budget it revealed on Tuesday. Mr Albanese criticised the cuts to the JobKeeper, and added he didn’t believe the budget offered enough for women. “I think the opposition leader and the shadow treasurer have put in a woeful effort today,” Mr Sukkar told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “I think they’re struggling, and in the interim they’ve taken quite a strange path. “It’s quite belittling to suggest women aren’t as invested in the health of small and medium businesses, and tax cuts, and the health of the economy more broadly. “I don’t think there’s any credibility that can be given to the claims they’ve been making."
