National Police Act
Two bills that will give the Inspector General of Police more powers and change the shape and pace of police reforms have been tabled in parliament. The National Police Service Commission Amendment Bill and the National Police Service Amendment Bill will effectively heap more power on the Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo while weakening the National Police Service Commission which has in recent days clashed with Kimaiyo over their respective roles and powers.
