1967 BUICK SKYLARK HARDTOP - THE BEST SELLING BUICK MODEL

New styling for all Buick models this year accelerates sales but the intermediate size Skylark sold the most models. This is most likely due to the fact that the Skylark offered more selections. Skylark models consisted of the hardtop coupe, hardtop sedan, four door wagons, a four door sedan, convertible coupe, and new muscle versions : GS 340 hardtop coupe, GS 400 coupes, hardtop coupes and convertible coupes. More than eleven choices overall including 6 and 8 cylinder engines, and 2 or 3 seat wagons. This darling hardtop is the best selling Skylark with 41,084 copies and it had a base price of $ 2,796. A 300 cube V8 engine with 210 horsepower lies under the hood. There were eleven paint choices this year and includes : Arctic White, Crocus Yellow, Green Mist Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Ivory, Platinum Mist Metallic, Verde Green Metallic, Shadow Turquoise Metallic, Rivera Fawn Metallic, and Blue Mist Metallic. This Skylark has a nice combo of a black vinyl roof over Apple Red paint. Buick climbed from seventh to fifth in production due to all the Buick models selling very well.
