Lets Play: WWE 2K25 My 31 Favorite Matches of 2025 Day 1

🔥 INTRO TO DECEMBER: OUR FAVORITE MATCHES OF 2025 🔥 2025 changed WWE forever. The second the year started, the whole company jumped into the Netflix era, turning every Monday Night Raw into a worldwide livestream — no delays, no region locks, just millions watching at the exact same time. Outside the U.S., SmackDown, NXT, and all the supercards joined it on Netflix too. The WWE Network? Pretty much gone everywhere except a couple of countries with leftover contracts. Peacock handled the big shows in the U.S. until August… then ESPN swooped in and took over like a main-event heel turn. Netflix took everything internationally. The entire wrestling world shifted. With that shift came a year packed with absolute bangers — Rumble moments that broke the internet, Mania storytelling that punched your soul, international shows with unreal athletic insanity, and Raw episodes that hit harder than some PPVs. 💀 WHAT WE’RE COUNTING — AND WHAT WE’RE NOT So the rules are simple: ❌ NOT COUNTING • Saturday Night’s Main Event: John Cena’s Final Match (DC) because it hasn’t happened yet — it’s airing this month. • NXT Deadline same reason — Deadline is happening this month. • Weekly NXT episodes We didn’t watch those consistently this year, so they don’t get counted. ✅ YES, COUNTING • Raw matches because you did watch Raw every week, and a bunch of Raw matches this year were legit PPV-level. • NXT PLEs you did watch their big shows like Stand & Deliver, Vengeance Day, Heatwave, etc.— so they absolutely count. • All WWE, AAA, and Netflix-era supercards in 2025 as long as Me and my girlfriend watched them. This makes the list personal. Accurate. 🩸 DAY 1 – Ricky Saints def. Oba Femi (c) Singles Match for the NXT Championship Event: NXT No Mercy 2025 Promotion: WWE Brand: NXT Date: September 27, 2025 City: Fort Lauderdale, Florida Venue: FTL War Memorial Attendance: 1,386 Commentary: Vic Joseph & Booker T Spanish Commentary: Marcelo Rodríguez & Jerry Soto Ring Announcer: Mike Rome Referees: Adrian Butler, Victoria D’Errico, Chip Danning, Dallas Irvin, Derek Sanders, Felix Fernandez Interviewer: Kelly Kincaid Pre-Show Panel: Megan Morant, Sam Roberts ✨ NOTE FOR DECEMBER We’re not ranking anything. These aren’t #1 through #31. These are just the matches we loved the most this year. I’m not giving you a definitive best — I’m not Dave Meltzer. I’m just showing the matches me and Aurora vibed with the hardest. 📖 WHAT HAPPENED IN THE MATCH Oba Femi walked in ready to destroy somebody. Ricky Saints walked in ready to prove he wouldn’t break. Femi dominated early — slams, uppercuts, suplex attempts, Irish Curses, backbreakers. He kept talking trash and treating Saints like an annoyance he needed to swat out of the ring. But Saints fired back with heart and stubbornness: • Sick Kick • Right hands • Stunner • Samoan Drop • Spear • Powerbomb Even with all that, Oba survived everything. The match went nuclear when: • Oba cleared the announce table • Tried to powerbomb Saints through it • Ricky countered → DDT ON THE DESK • Tornado DDT on the floor • Back inside → pop-up counter → Tornado DDT • Off the ropes → second Tornado DDT • 1… 2… 3 — NEW NXT Champion Saints collapses with the title. Oba looks shocked. Crowd loses their minds. 🔥 DAY 1 SUMMARY DAY 1 – Ricky Saints vs. Oba Femi (NXT No Mercy 2025) Not a ranking — just one of our absolute favorites of the year. A monster vs. underdog grind-house fight with a huge upset ending. Perfect Day 1 energy. Broadcasted live on Twitch -- Watch live at   / rkorocker98
