Seth Rollins Grudge Match on the Debut of WWE Raw on Netflix Event: WWE Raw – Netflix Premiere Promotion: WWE Brand: Raw Date: January 6, 2025 City: Inglewood, California Venue: Intuit Dome Attendance: (Not officially announced, but the Intuit Dome holds ~17,000 for wrestling) Special Guest Performer: Travis Scott (and yeah… this part sucked) Special Appearances: John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and other top stars 📖 WHAT HAPPENED IN THE MATCH The first-ever Raw on Netflix instantly felt like a PPV, and Punk vs. Rollins was the grudge match people had waited over a decade to see again. The bell rings— Punk comes out SWINGING with right hands. Rollins fires back, drives him into the ropes, pummels him, but Punk flips it and clotheslines him to the floor. Punk leaps for a plancha— Seth dodges and Punk splats on the floor. Rollins immediately hits a suicide dive and starts clearing the announce desk. He screams at referee Rod Zapata to “let it ride!” Seth goes full demon mode. Whip into the barricade. Punk back-body-drops Rollins into the crowd. Fans explode. Punk climbs the barricade… DIVING CROSSBODY INTO THE CROWD. Zapata is losing his mind trying to get control, but these two don’t care. Back to ringside— Rollins goes for another dive— Punk nails him in the gut mid-air. Inside the ring, Rollins regains control with rabbit punches. Punk fires back: • Kick to the ribs • Gourdbuster into the ropes • Pulls Seth to the top rope AVALANCHE SWINGING NECKBREAKER Commercial break. Back from break— Rollins is humiliating Punk, slapping him around. He whips him corner-to-corner— Punk hits the rising knee! Then another knee! Goes for the bulldog— Rollins blocks— Punk answers with two lariats and a swinging neckbreaker. Punk with a diving crossbody— Rollins rolls through and deadlifts him onto his shoulders— GO TO SLEEP… but Punk falls to the floor outside! Rollins taunts the crowd, saying he built all this. He rolls Punk back inside— PUNK HITS BLACKOUT ON ROLLINS. Rollins barely escapes. They trade finishers like crazy: • Punk goes for GTS → blocked • Rollins hits ANOTHER GTS → Punk kicks out • Rollins Pedigrees him on the announce desk • Then hits a second Pedigree inside — Punk still won’t die On their knees, they slap the hell out of each other. Punches. Chops. Punk hits the Alberto Del Rio flash kick. Rollins answers with: • Buckle Bomb • Blackout — PUNK gets a foot on the ropes. Seth is losing his mind. He pulls Punk up top— Punk knocks him down. Rollins climbs again— Superplex → Roll-through— But Punk counters in mid-motion— GO TO SLEEP. Rollins bounces off the ropes— Punk catches him AGAIN— SECOND GO TO SLEEP. Cover. 1… 2… 3. CM Punk wins by pinfall. Story settled. Feud settled.
