We've all heard some bad Beethoven in our day, but Ensemble Cristofori and Arthur Schoonderwoerd have outdone themselves with this positively nauseating coupling of the "Eroica" Symphony and the Coriolan Overture. If you ever wondered how this music sounded with single strings, iffy intonation, skewed balances and unconvincing tempos, well, here's your chance to find out. Take my advice, though. Don't. Some things are better left to the darkest inner recesses of your twisted imagination.
