Drummer Ken Loomer Swinging Big Band"Groovin Hard" !

I think more drummers should be band leaders. Everyone told me having a Big Band would be impossible today.But I learned from drummers like Buddy Rich and Louie Bellson that with hard work and the drive to do it,it could be possible to have a swinging Big Band. I got to know both Buddy and Louie and they both sure inspired me with the great Big Bands they put together that I could do the same thing also. Sure it took a lot of work and drive to do it,but I`m so happy to play this great Big Band music to the public and being a Big Band leader today.One of the great charts that the Buddy Rich Big Band played is Groovin Hard that Don Menza composed.It`s always about the music first for me and thanks to these wonderful musicians, my Big Band is swinging and "Groovin Hard'.
