अर्थव्यवस्था में सुधार के लिए मनमोहन सिंह ने 5 उपाय बताए, कहा नौकरियों वाले

Former Prime Minister and Economist Dr. Manmohan Singh believes that the country is going through a recession. Hence the sectors providing jobs will have to be strengthened. Hemant Atri, the political editor of Dainik Bhaskar, spoke to him about the 100 days of the Modi government and the challenges to the government's policies and economy. He spoke of taking five steps to improve the economic situation. Here are the key parts of the conversation: How will the economic conditions of the country improve Answer- Modi government has got an absolute majority not once, but twice. When I was Finance Minister or Prime Minister, there was not such a big mandate. Nevertheless, we successfully overcame the 1991 crisis and the 2008 global financial crisis. Now the country is going through a long economic downturn, which is both structural and cyclical. The first step should be to acknowledge that we are facing a crisis. The government should listen to the experts and all stakeholders with an open mind. But, unfortunately, I have not yet seen any focused approach of the Modi government. The Modi government needs to get out of the habit of headline management. Too much time has been wasted already. Now instead of making sector-wise announcements, work should be done on moving the entire economic structure together. There are five ways. First: GST has to be rationalized, even if there is a short-term loss of tax. Second: we have to find new ways to increase rural consumption and revive agriculture. There are concrete options in the Congress manifesto, in which the money can be returned to the people by freeing agricultural markets. Third: Debt reduction has to be done for capital formation. Not just public sector banks, but also NBFCs are cheated. Fourth: Major job-oriented sectors like textile, auto, electronics and concessional housing will have to be revived. Easy loan will have to be given for this. Especially to MSMEs. Fifth: We have identified the new export markets opening up due to the ongoing trade-war in the US-China. It should be remembered that both cyclic and structural problems need to be resolved. Only then we can get back the high growth rate in 3-4 years. Question: Is the situation really so serious? How long will it take to get out of this economic recession? Answer: It is the prerogative of the Modi government to talk about its work, but the government can no longer be in denial about the economy. India is in a very worsening economic slowdown. The 5% GDP growth of the previous quarter is the lowest in 6 years. Nominal GDP growth is also at a 15-year low. Several key sectors of the economy have been affected. The automotive sector is in crisis due to a steep decline in production. More than three and a half lakh jobs have been lost.
