Gi Nattak (Hard Mode) | FF7 Rebirth — Second Playthrough

Gi Nattak (Hard Mode) | FF7 Rebirth — Second Playthrough

Gi Nattak is a story boss in Chapter 10 of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In Hard Mode, this fight can be quite tough, as Gi Nattak’s physical attacks are powerful. Phase 1 In this run, I begin with Barret’s Limit Siphon to absorb Red XIII’s limit gauge, then immediately switch to Red XIII to block Gi Nattak’s opening attack. Once Barret’s limit gauge is full, I use Satellite Beam right away, which puts Gi Nattak into a Pressured state. From there, I follow up with Red XIII’s normal attacks to push it into Stagger. Phase 2 In this phase, I first defeat all of the Soul Flames while building up the ATB gauge. After all Soul Flames are eliminated, Gi Nattak returns to the fight and becomes aggressive again. Here, I focus on using -ga magic to trigger a Pressured state, then continue attacking to drive it into a Staggered state. Since the Pressured bar is quite short, I immediately cast Stop right after it becomes Pressured, which allows me to keep it locked in place and safely follow up with attacks until it reaches Stagger. During the Staggered state, I use Limit Siphon again to absorb Red XIII’s limit gauge and save it for Phase 3, while continuing to deal damage. Phase 3 At the start of Phase 3, Gi Nattak casts Doom. If the red timer above the character reaches zero, they will be KO’d, so this phase is more time-sensitive. I continue using Firaga and Thundaga to deal damage, combined with Limit Breaks, and finish the fight from there.
