Champion's Gravetender - NG+7, SL1.

This fight might be pretty bad but there are some things you can do to make it easier. If you run away at the very start, the little wolves will come one by one and it's easier to kill them. It's better to use weapons that can kill them in 2-3 hits because you need to kill each wolf before the next one comes. If you run all the way to the other end of the arena, it will take time for the Greatwolf to get there so you have a better chance to kill chainmom before he arrives. I think chainmom is the hardest enemy in the game because she can roll out of your attacks. With some weapons like Flamberge that i used here, you might get in a situation where chainmom rolls and does a rolling attack which kills you before you can recover, which makes it risky being aggressive in this fight. A good way to kill her is to stay away and punish L2 and jumping attacks or parrying and riposting with a weapon that can do a lot of damage on critical attacks like DSA and daggers. If you parry, it's better to not use Hornet Ring because the animation is very long and the Greatwolf might arrive before chainmom dies. If you trigger bleed with a riposte it seems to do some extra damage and it takes off about 35% of her hp. Another good way to kill chainmom is to use heavier weapons with Knight Slayer's Ring - it only got used once here, but i think it's worth putting it on, you can guard break her with 2 R1s with a greatsword - if she raises her shield all the time, you can kill her extremely quickly. It's better to stay further away from her so that she doesn't start doing R1 attacks and just hit whenever she raises her shield or just does nothing. You should never hit more than 2 times, i could've died at 0:30. Carthus Curved Sword is also very good for this because it's fast, has good reach and it guard breaks with 3 R1s and can kill the little wolves in 3 hits with Sword Ring and Carthus Rouge or some other buffs. Great Hammers, Ultragreatswords, Greataxes (you can't use them on sl1 unfortunately, unless you count Pickaxe as one) and Halberds should also be pretty good for this. Hammers are probably good, their reach isn't great, but the recent animation change might compensate for that. With quickstep Daggers, you can stay just out of range of chainmom's R1s and attacks her if you two-hand you weapon then quickstep away to recover stamina. Bandit's Knife can inflict bleed and guard break just as well as heavy weapons, but it's very difficult to do. I haven't actually used Flamberge without Knight Slayer's Ring so i don't know if it can guard break in 2 hits on its own. Poison and Toxin can help a lot in this fight, if you poison chainmom, you can just run away from the Greatwolf for a while and she dies on her own. This might be a bad fight, but you can't deny that it plays differently with different weapons, i can't say that about Friede honestly, maybe about phase 2. If you don't know what chainmom is, it's a min-maxed PvP build (i think just armor combination actually, you can choose different weapons) in DaS1, i didn't do a lot of PvP in any DaS game so i don't know very well, but Google gave me this: https://www.mugenmonkey.com/darksouls.... This armor combination looks very similar to what Gravetender is wearing, i think it's intentional and, honestly, this little joke makes the fight a bit better for me. If that is not intentional, then i don't i don't even know.
