Railfanning a busy Sussex Sub April 10, 2023 video 4 of 6! A nice view from the ground and the air of the empty potash train with a big power lashup passing the former Sussex train station! Canadian National Railway locomotives 3172 (Tier 4 ET44AC Gevo), 3923 (ex CREX ES44AC Gevo), 2963 (ES44AC Gevo), 3885 (CN 100 ES44AC Tier 3 Credit Gevo, and 2885 (ES44AC Gevo) power a short empty potash train CN L597 (Saint John, NB Courtney Bay Terminal to Moncton, NB Gordon Yard) eastbound passing through Sussex, NB hauling 38 empty potash hoppers (182 axles) on a nice sunny afternoon. CN 597 took the hole at Moosehorn for the meet with CN 596. This is the first of two video of CN 597. Filmed at 1:24pm, Monday April 10, 2023 at about mile 43.5 of the CN Sussex Subdivision.
