Toll Bridge Traffic Nears Pre-Pandemic Levels

Bay Area drivers got a big jump on the start of California’s post-pandemic era by returning in large numbers this spring to the region’s toll bridges and other freeways. Congestion has returned in a lot of familiar locations as traffic volumes near or even top 90 percent of pre-COVID levels on many of the region’s state-owned toll bridges.
