Palestinian protesters scuffle with Palestinian police, Israeli troops

(18 Jul 2014) Clashes erupted between Palestinian youth and the Palestinian police in the West Bank town of Bethlehem on Friday night after the police tried to break up demonstrations in support of Gaza. Later Palestinian protesters also clashed with the Israeli army. The Israeli army fired tear gas at the protesters. The clashes erupted near Rachel's Tomb, a Jewish holy site, which is near the entrance to Bethlehem.
