King Charles III addresses proclamation council

King Charles III vows to follow the Queen's "inspiring example" as he takes the oath at the Accession Council, swearing to serve the people as King. The Accession Council, a meeting of Privy Counsellors and Great Officers of State, only meets on the death of a monarch to proclaim the new King or Queen. It was broadcast live for the first time from St James's Palace in central London this morning.
