Wide of Israeli soldiers standing in road near army vehicles STORYLINE Clashes erupted between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian protestors in the West Bank village of Nebi Saleh on Friday. Dozens of Palestinians gathered in the village to protest against the expansion of the Jewish settlement of Halamish. The protestors marched through the streets of the Palestinian village chanting slogans against the expansion of the nearby settlement and the Israeli occupation. Palestinian demonstrators hurled stones at the Israeli soldier who fired tear gas at the protestors. There were no reports of casualties on either side.
