In this video, coach Kiefer goes over how to perform the Nordic Hamstring Curl on the Glute Ham Developer (GHD). The Nordic Hamstring Curl is a fantastic exercise for developing strength and control in the hamstrings and glutes if done correctly. Start off on top of the GHD with feet in the supports and your knees supported on the back side of the pad. From here, there are a few major things to consider: 1️⃣Slightly tuck your pelvis, squeeze your glutes and tighten your abs to establish a neutral starting positon. 2️⃣Think about pushing your feet back against the plate to begin lowering yourself out over the knee pad 3️⃣Once you've gotten near parallel to the ground think of pulling your heels up against the supports using your hamstrings and glutes to pull yourself back up to your start position. 💪Keep in mind this is NOT an easy exercise to perform and could be considered fairly advanced. If you struggle to perform them consider starting with only the eccentric (lowering) portion or begin with an easier hamstring exercise. 👊🏻Was this helpful?
