This is an instructional video on how to safely and efficiently rejoin a formation by using an angular cut-off. This is done by the leading aircraft turning and the Wingman positioning himself inside the turning radius of the Lead aircraft. From there on, airspeed should be matched between the two aircraft and all closures should be based solely on geometry. The aim for the Wingman is to maintain a tighter turn than the Flight Lead and intercept him by keeping the Lead aircraft in the 10' or 2' o'clock position.
