UK Weather Forecast: More Frost And Freezing Fog For England And Wales (Friday 14th January 2022)

Good morning everyone and welcome to today's UK weather forecast on Friday 14th January 2022 Current Situation: High pressure is sitting over the country with mainly dry weather in most areas. Today: Friday begins with frost and freezing fog patches across England and Wales while Scotland and Northern Ireland are cloudy and milder with patchy rain across western Scotland. Through the rest of the day England and Wales will find most of the fog clearing away to reveal bags of sunshine though a few patches of fog could linger all day. Scotland and Northern Ireland will keep a lot of cloud and some dampness is possible across western Scotland. Temperatures will range from 2C to 8C. Coldest where any fog lingers all day. Tonight: Dense fog becomes widespread across much of southern, central and eastern England and Wales. Further north we keep more cloud through Scotland, north west England and Northern Ireland. A widespread frost across England and Wales with temperatures down to -5C through parts of the west Midlands so once again the fog will be freezing in places. Tomorrow: A very foggy start for England and Wales but most of the fig will lift although this time we'll have a lot of low cloud and very little sunshine. Scotland and Northern Ireland will also have a lot of cloud and some patchy rain. Temperatures just 2C to 5C in most places on what will be a very cold and dank day. Milder in the far west and south west. Outlook: Sunday: Cloudy with patchy rain spreading southeastwards. Milder. Monday: Mostly dry and cooler with frost and fog early and late.
