Sorry for the shaky video on this one... Didn't realize my stabilization was turned off... This hike started at Gregory Ridge and went up to Gregory Bald trail. I then hiked over to the Appalachian Trail and back and then over to Gregory Bald. I left Gregory Bald and finished the trail at the Gregory Bald trail head off of Parson Branch Road. Then I had a 3.5 mile road walk down Parson Branch Road to get back to the Gregory Ridge trail head and my vehicle. This is a beautiful hike and if you plan to hike to Gregory Bald, I would recommend starting on Gregory Ridge rather than Gregory Bald trail. You will avoid the Parson Branch road issues and it is a more scenic hike! Gregory Bald is beautiful in June when the Azaleas are blooming! The views from Gregory Bald are some of the best in the Smokies!! In total I hiked 17.5 miles and about 14 miles of that was on trail. A wonderful day in the Smokies!
