A deadly shooting occurred at the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina at around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The shooter reportedly entered the church and opened fire on members of the congregation who were in the basement conducting a bible study. Authorities say that a bomb threat was later called in at the scene. So far nine people have been confirmed dead. Eight were killed at the church while one later died at a local hospital.
