Donkey Kong Country (SNES) 101% : Kongo Jungle - Ropey Rampage w/ KONG letters and all Bonus Areas

Level 1-2, Ropey Rampage, is set during a rainstorm and introduces ropes, both the static kind and the swinging kind, which the kongs can grab onto to reach high places or cross gaps. It also introduces the annoying Army enemies and the explosive TNT barrels. Notice how the rainstorm ends and the sun comes out again near the end; that's certainly impressive for a game of this age! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KONG letters: the K and the O are easy. The N is duplicated: you can get it either in the normal level or in the first Bonus Area. The G is on top of the last tree in the level. There are 2 Bonus Areas here: 1. 0:44 Drop into the first gap between trees after the letter O, a Barrel Cannon down there will blast you into the cliffside ahead. The Bonus is a set of vertical ropes full of bananas which lead to the letter N. 2. 1:42 Drop into the last pit in the level, next to an arrow sign, which contains a Barrel Cannon. Here's a new recurring kind of minigame: the image of an item (in this case a red balloon) moves between four barrels at increasing speed until it stops and turns invisible. If you then touch the barrel where the item stopped, you receive it as the prize. It's very easy if you pay attention. Minigames of this kind are failed if you touch a wrong barrel, of course.
