UPDATE: Media still silent on woman shoved at NDP event

The event was closed and the woman shouldn’t have been in attendance, but it looked like who I think is NDP MLA Stephanie McLean’s husband shoved the woman in an attempt to keep her from entering the building. Completely uncalled for. The police later arrived when a group of protestors from Stand Up For Alberta called them to assist the woman that had been pushed. This event was swarming with media but they didn’t tell the side of the story from the constituents angle. You would think that for a venue swarming with the press, someone would have given a balanced report of what happened – but they didn’t. This is the type of media non-coverage that got the NDP elected in the first place. They didn’t dig into any of the candidates before the election and articles uncovering the real NDP and its paper candidates surfaced a day before and even after the election.
