Cheltenham Town v Oxford United 2003-04

Highlights from the Division 3 match between Cheltenham and Oxford on September 16th 2003. Ian Atkins' side were left frustrated as they were held to a goalless draw at Cheltenham, though not for a lack of trying. Goalkeeper Shane Higgs was the hero for the hosts in the first half, pulling off some stunning saves to deny Steve Basham and Derek Townsley. But the second half would descend into a scrappy affair and Cheltenham would finish the game with ten men after Michael Duff was sent off for a cynical challenge on Dean Whitehead and Mark Yates escaping with just a yellow for throwing a punch in the ensuing melee. The point saw the U's knocked off the top of the table, being replaced by Swansea City.
