Highlights from the Division 3 match between Oxford and Orient on December 26th 2003. Julian Alsop ensured it would be a very merry Chirtmas for the yellows as his stoppage-time winner gave Oxford a 2-1 Boxing Day home win over Leyton Orient. The visitors had led when Gary Alexander got a toe on Gabby Zakuani’s header over Andy Woodman after 25 minutes, but United would be behind for just eight minutes. Zakuani fouled Steve Basham in the penalty area and Andy Crosby made no mistake from the spot to even the scores at the break. After the restart, Tom Newey was shown a second yellow card for another foul on Basham, leaving Orient to face the last 15 minutes a man down and the U's would finally make their numerical advantage count three minutes into stoppage time to ensure they would take all three points.
